Having returned from overseas in 1997 and working with the late Dougie Squires OBE MVO, Stefan's career has gone from strength to strength. Multiple TV appearances, a hugely popular live show, West End performer and lyricist, British film screenwriter. Published in articles in the UK and USA and working alongside some of the biggest names in the TV and Entertainment industry.
Stefan began his career as an overseas entertainer for Thomson holidays. During this time he worked closely with late Dougie Squires OBE MVO which led to an offer, based on vocal ability, of the part of "The Pharaoh" in the West End tour of "Joseph". Only to be overlooked due to height requirements.
In 1998 Stefan launched his own live shows across the UK performing in clubs and private shows as Stefan Michaels. His outstanding vocal talent and comedic ability very quickly earnt Stefan praise in the industry and within a year he had twice appeared on the ITV show "Michael Barrymore's My Kind Of Music". This was quickly followed by appearances on the ITV show "The Trisha Show" as a comedian and on the Channel 4 popular show "The Big Breakfast" as a vocalist. As a result of this Anglia Television paid for Stefan to write and film his own Showreel in London.
Stefan continued with his live performances across the UK and supported some of the biggest names in the industry that included "Gerry and the Pacemakers", "Danny Dyer", "Ray Quinn", "Chico", "The Cheeky Girls" and many more. Playing to large audiences across the UK in top British Holiday Theme Parks, Stately Homes and may private shows for large national groups and organisations such as the Freemasons, Police, National Health Service, RAF and the British Army. This led to Stefan being hired by former Radio Roadshow controller Richard Greaves to be the Radio 1 Roadshow warm up act. Only for the Roadshows to be cancelled that year. In addition to his outstanding vocal ability, Stefan also excelled as a Stand Up Comedian and performed at the world famous Jongleurs Comedy Club leading to an appearance on the ITV2 Show, "So You Think You're Funny".
Stefan was then approached by the "Stage Newspaper" to be interviewed as a featured showman and, on the back of the interview, was suggested by the Stage to be a contestant on the ITV1 show, "Britain's Got Talent". Stefan was sent to Manchester and appeared on the show, despite not winning, alongside "Ant and Dec", "Steven Mulhern", "David Hasslehoff", "Amanda Holden" and "Michael McIntyre".
Alongside the live shows and writing original comedy, Stefan has always been a keen writer and songwriter and during this time won three awards from the National Songwriting Competition for three separate compositions all reaching the semi-final stage.
In 2009 Stefan was commissioned to write lyrics for the new West End Musical "Hellsing" produced by Colin Charles (Dirty Dancing, We Will Rock You) and directed by Shona Lindsay, (Phantom Of The Opera). The production featured the cast of London's West End Dirty Dancing, Lord Jeffrey Archer and a host of West End musical and theatre talent. The lyrics were performed at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London in 2009 and then again the production at the Bloomsbury Theatre in 2012 featured Stefan himself playing one of the characters he had written for the production.
Stefan then made the move in to an acting career and trained with the late David Johsnon in Manchester. After a few short student films he secured the Narrators role on the SKY Television show "Attrell's Antiques Apprentices". Narrating a full series of the show aired on Television. Stefan then went on to film in two episodes of the The Jack Whitehall show on Channel 4 before being cast as the regular delivery driver character in the highly popular ITV drama "Emmerdale", appearing in multiple episodes.
He then went on to play the Character "Pete" in ITV Coronation Street, "Dr Kirk Jackson" in SKY TVs Nurses Who Kill and became the regular ITV4 Ident Actor for over 12 months.
Multiple Television commercials followed including the World Cup and Pepsi Commercial filmed with Liverpool Football Club player Mo Salah, Legal and General, Virgin Holidays, Sky Sports, CostCutter, Johnsons Paints and many more.
Stefan did the one of the official voice overs for the ITV2 Love Island app. and has appeared in many films including playing Bill Clinton in the Bernie Sanders Story.
In 2017 Stefan began writing the British feature film, "Repentance". The film subsequently went into full production and starred "Danielle Harold", (Multiple award winning British Actress "EastEnders"), "John Altman", (EastEnders, Quadrophenia), BAFTA award winning Edward Peel and also features Stefan in one of the lead roles. Produced by Clock Tower Films the film is now available on SKY and Amazon in the UK and is shortly to be released in the USA
Stefan was the British judge of the 2020 International Film Festival of New York. He has appeared in multiple publications both in the UK and the USA and these include:

Stefan continues to perform his live shows across the UK and work alongside major charities to raise funds through live performances. These include, Macmillan, Cardiac Risk in the Young, MyLife Charity and The Rainbows Children Trust. Stefan, along with his live shows, continues to act for Television, Theatre and Film and is currently producing an original stand-up comedy show. He is also now taking his original songs out across the UK with a view in the near future of being available on Spotify.
